Kristel Martin

Kristel Martin is a Guatemalan lawyer who graduated from Universidad Rafael Landívar, with experience in human rights—particularly the universal and interamerican human rights systems—as well as in project management in this field.

She received a scholarship for DLA Piper’s Global Scholarship Program, through which she had the opportunity to complete a leadership course at the Said Business School at the University of Oxford. She has held research and program internship positions at the International Service for Human Rights (ISHR), working with human rights defenders, and at the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL) in the field of environmental law.

She is currently a Program Manager at Believe in Justice —Be Just— where she has conducted training workshops to strengthen the rule of law through citizen participation, among other projects.
